Rooted in the Palouse Since 2010
Lovell's Tree Service LLC has been quietly doing solid work across the Palouse since 2010. Based out of Viola, Idaho, we've built our reputation the old-fashioned way — showing up on time, doing the job right, and leaving properties cleaner than we found them.
When you're working in a community this size, word gets around fast. We've earned repeat business from neighbors, ranchers, and property owners across Moscow, Pullman, and the surrounding towns by treating every job — big or small — like it matters.
What started as a local service has grown into one of the few tree companies in the region licensed to operate legally in both Idaho and Washington. That matters more than most people realize.
Why It Matters
Dual-State Licensing in the Palouse
The Idaho–Washington state line runs right through the middle of the Palouse. Moscow is Idaho. Pullman is Washington. Many rural properties — farms, ranches, acreages — sit close to the border or span it entirely.
Idaho law requires tree contractors to hold a Registered Contractor license (RCT) to do any work on Idaho property. Washington law requires a separate state contractor registration. Operating in the wrong state without the right license exposes both the contractor and the property owner to liability.
Most local tree services are licensed in one state only. That means if you have a big cottonwood on the Washington side of your property, your Idaho-only contractor either turns the job down or works without authorization.
